Sammy - I noticed that you're in Cottondale, AL. How did you guys fare in the recent catastrophic weather over there? I hope all is well!

Personally we were very forunate as we had one hit about 2 miles east of our home that morning and then about 3 miles west that afternoon. We are in the apartment business and suffered damage in Tuscaloosa, Huntsville and Trussville with hail damge in Knoxville TN. We had 12 properties affected. You probably saw one of our properties in Tuscaloosa named Charleston Square. The picture was published with all the national news feeds and newspapers around the country. It is a total loss with 2 UA students killed. Tuscaloosa looks like a war zone and it is just unbelievable that more people were not killed. I think the count is up to 41 now.

I met you in Orange Beach at Oyster Fest. I was with Darrell Graham and he had his new Segway.

Hey Sammy - I remember meeting you at Oysterfest while Vita was test-riding Darrell's new Segway. I just didn't remember you were from Cottondale.

I'm very sorry to hear about all the damage/loss to your properties, but am very glad that you, your family and your home escaped without injury! Being an Alabama native myself (born & raised in Montgomery), my heart especially goes out to all the storm victims in the area. The loss and devastation was incredible and shocking!
