Mike, Thanks for the update on Rest Areas. They always work fine for us when a campground doesn't fit in at the end of a day.

Jon, I will be looking up Cajun Country Camp Ground in my Big Rigs Best Bet as soon as it arrives. Just ordered it from Ken and found out they live at Buckhorn Lake R.V. Resort in Kerrville. Said he will have plenty of copies available for the Rally.

    Default POG lll Fuel Info

    Poggers,

If you are planning your fuel stops I want you to know that the resort has a fuel truck service. They will fuel you at the site at $2.89/gal...current price with a $50 mininum...this is about 10cents higher than what the west coast guys will see coming there and even more than that for the people coming from eastern Texas.....FYI...see you soon

Steve Cooper made a good post on the travels on I-10 from Gulfport Fl west. JPJ sent it to me and I tried to look it up just now without prevail. A lot of good tips on the route when he went to the Parlement Rally in New Orleans a year or so ago. I tried to search it out but I need the computer course, of course.

    Try your luck.

    Bill,

We have stayed a couple times at the KOA on the west side of town and they had a shuttle service to downtown. Don't know if anything has changed since Katrina, but it worked out well and the sites are big enough for the bus. It's a short hog ride to downtown as well....
