You speak of rubber gaskets, but I don't think you are speaking of the plastic spacers, are you?

Have I confused everyone yet. I am in need of the plastic spacers and am willing to make them myself if I can find the plastic dowel to cut. Anyone know where to get a clear plastic dowel?

Lew, I don't know of a source for the plastic dowels. If you find one please let me know. It would be nice to have spares.

Well Joe, I'm reading right along. Before I closed my shop, I could have made a couple thousand spacers in no time. Now it's a different story.
The problem with this one is the quantity required is so low that to find a reasonably priced source for a small amount of the material will be difficult, even if you make your own.

Without even looking, I would say Mc Master-
Carr might have something. There are also plastic supply houses in most large cities that would have it.

You also might find a towel bar in a (???) that you could salvage.

Lew, call them and ask for sales, tell them the size you need and they will quote you.

Ask both ways, material only and the spacer made to your size.

For something like a bug shield, you might as well cut up an old broom stick and drill it out.
