Patrick....we replaced ours with a new 24" cabinet depth from Sears... more expensive than regular size but fit in the space perfectly... easy change out... the one thing that I am glad I did was to plug it into a heavy duty appliance extension cord and attach it to the top of the refrigerator so if I need to power it up with outside power for any reason I can... just thought it was the perfect time to do that... we leave the frig on all the time... we were told it isn't good to turn them off. I don't see a problem changing to a new one. Let us know if you do it. I got the midnight color that looks black with the double doors on top and the big drawer in the bottom... ice and water in door.. around $2K if I remember correctly... well worth it as our old one was shot... the change out was about 3 hrs max. Good luck. QUOTE=pwf252;88386]Jim, Can We assume you replaced your frig and its not operating correctly? I was thinking of upgrading mine as I have a broken door shelf and it aggravates me to look at it. However, if there are issues with replacing them with new appliances I might be happier with a broken shelf.[/QUOTE]
