Just got back from New Orleans stayed at French Quarters Rv Park one block from French quarters nice place on holidays $139.00 per day thanks Danny
Gil, stayed at French Quarter last Jan., very nice, walk into the Quarter. Going back this year. Might be expensive for Mardi Gras or getting sold out.

Gil, We stayed at the French Quarter RV Resort, during Mardi Gras last year had to make reservations 6 months early! Great Place to stay, You will be right next door to the old cemetery good walking tour you can do yourself, I would not walk into the Quarter at night take a taxi!
Gary's absolutely right... walk in...short cab ride back

Thanks all. The French Quarter RV Resort sure looks like a great place. At $199 a night it would be the most expensive park we've been to for any event. Their regular rate is $79 a night, making their 150% special event premium hard the swallow. 3 days and $600 in park fees sure would cut into the fun money for the party :-(

Gil, That sounds like the hurricane premium some of these guys charge after a storm. Hopefully, they include a "lot" more fun for that price.

Bayou Segnette State Park is also nice, it is just not near as convenient. I havent checked to see if it has reopened after Katrina. It is located on the south side of the river about a 15 minute drive away from the Quarter. It has paved roads and sites and 50 amp service and is like camping in the woods. If it is open it may be a cheaper alternative.

We have stayed at the state park since Katrina and as Loc said it isn't as convenient but it's a nice location and much less expensive then The French Quarter Park.
We have stayed at the KOA and with a rental car it all worked out less expensive.
