    Default Coolant Analysis

Sent sample to Detroit. They said lead was a little high but everything else okay. What would make the lead high and should I be concerned? They said check at next servicing interval????

If it was from an older car I would suggest bearings, but I doubt if lead is used in our engines.

Dan: Did you send the right bottle for analysis? I mean ---you didn't send the West Virginia Mountain Dancer squeezings? Sometimes lead gets into the good stuff due to the old radiators some of the good ole boys use.

Sometimes you will get a positive reading for lead from soldered joints in your cooling system... I don't think its anything to worry about.

Thanks to all the knowledgeable people. No more shine down here because the idiots that make METH can do it cheaper.

Easy fellows, the underground state of the art stills today would put a Liberty plumbing bay to shame! yes there are the old stump hole stills but they are about gone.
