How's about Pismo Coast Village???
How's about Pismo Coast Village???
I'm with Kevin, warm and dry! How is the WX at Pismo Coast Village in Feb. Jon?
checking the NASCAR schedule, Feb 28th is Las Vegas. Good deals on RV spots might be harder to come by that weekend.
Pismo sounds good. Anyone got a dune buggy??
Put Janet and I down in pencil.
John, I don't think Pismo Coast can handle that many 45' coaches. I have a hard time just getting 2 at a time. I don't remember how many we had at Lake Havasu. but I don't think pismo will work. There is a nice park in Paso Robles if thats an option.
Just so we're all on the same page, I was asking if anyone was interested in Paso Robles and vacinity for the week between Christmas and New Years. I'm in for Vegas in February, and it seems that we should stay away from the weekend of the 28th.
Feb 14th weekend is Presidents Day holidays, but I'm doubting that's a big concern.
So, in Feb, which sounds good. Weekend of 6-7, 13-14 or 20-21?

So, who do we talk to about reserving 15 or more sites in LV for Feb. on Presidents weekend or there abouts.
Regarding Christmas week, Buelltin has a park. Paso is nice as well.
Buelltin is close to a lot of wineries.

We have a new POGGER out there. I'll try to contact him AND to contact the regular reservation department.
I'll try that tomorrow
Ray,
Christmas/New Years week...what about Chula Vista? Paso Robles is fine however the weather can turn South there at any moment after the 1st of November. I have to agree with Sid, Pismo Coast Village can get a bit tight plus they have become very proud of their park.
Chula Vista is fine. I was trying to go to somewhere I haven't been before. The three places which get lot's of local action are:
* Chula Vista
* Rancho California ORA
* Indio ORA
kind of in that order. I was hoping to try something new, but I hear you on the weather front.
So, I've done a couple of things.
1. I contacted Al Griefer at LV Motorcoach Resort (our new POGGER), and he was going to look into rates for us.
2. I called them (LV Motorcoach) directly and they indicated we can get a rally rate of 20% of posted rates + taxes. That equates to 39.20 for standard lot, $55.20 for premiere. There is also an "Amenities" lot which would run $71.20.
3. I called the Oasis RV Resort, and they have a more formal rally policy:
a. $35.00 per night
b. rally master slot is free
c. 10 coach minimum for this rate
d. rate good 2 days before and after rally days
e. They indicated we would all be put together.

Anyone have a preference? Seems like the Oasis is a bit cheaper. I've been to the LV resort when it was ORA/Signature, and it's very nice, and Al lives there full-time (I think). Both places have availability for the weekend of the 13-14th.
