I recently got Microsoft's Streets & Trips & loaded it on a laptop . The laptop has a 17" screen which is easier to see--- but ---I am having a bit of a time getting it situated correctly. I bought a laptop stand but it still is about 6-8 inches too low . I can see the screen ok but it is not yet quite right.

Alpine wanted $ 1700 for me to upgrade ..... My system is probably 10 years old and the most current map info is 2005. The Maps & Trips software was $ 79 and it is pretty good -- so far. I got the GPS module with it and it seems to work fairly well.

I just need to figure out how to get the laptop positioned right & then I will be in good shape........ I will keep working on it.

    Default Available Colors

    JDUB,

So what colors are available for the new H3? I'll bet you would have to get a custom paint job so it would look as good as the old Scout!

    Will,

I am passing the H3 on to my daughter to drive and looking for a new toad. However, I think they offer the new H3 Alpha in a lovely shade of Orange; just not PMS-166.

I may have to get a tow bar for the Scout but the Trukman keeps trying to get me to buy one of the Rosie Rides..........

Don't think the Orange will look quite right behind your bus, but what do I know I am pulling a White one, but it does have pin stripes that match the bus?

I also have an old alpine stereo / nav system, 15 years old and its time to upgrade. I would also like to upgrade the back up camera ... you guys know, the old sony b/w monitor.

    Question:
    1) What would be the best upgrade and can I combine the two systems. Nav. system / stereo and colored back up camera,

    2) Can I use the same cable that is existing for the b/w sony upgraded to a color camera. To change out the cable would be a pain. Has anybody experienced wireless???

    My Goodness Jerry

That is my bus in that photo........ The old Ark......

Should I send in Merry Maids and all of their cousins to to deal with past issues????????

I guess a trip to CVS for rubber gloves would be appropriate????????

    Jamie,

Don't stop anywhere in Texas with your bus, it's not safe!
