Here is the odd thing about this, and you are correct. When I swiped the card it showed that it was authorized, which is when I lifted the handle and filled the tank. It was a normal and ordinary swipe, authorize and fill, no hassles at all, so I thought.
Pam mentioned something to me today that I had nor thought about. Pam pays the bills and said that our Citicard, the one we used at the pump has our cellphone number attached to it in case they question a charge, they can reach us to verify that we agree with the charge.
We received a call from the RCMP officer to my cellphone. The story said that they were not able to read my plate number from either vehicle, I am guessing the station attendant had the card info when I swiped it, there would be no other source for the cellphone #.
