    Default Late to the party

I am self employed and never sure of my schedule. Looks like I might have October open to attend the Albuquerque ballon fest (a bucket list item) this year. How do I plan to attend this late in the game? Everything I have read says attending the ballon fest requires a minimum of one year advance reservations.

P.S. I don’t want to cross off my bucket list item by changing the “B” in bucket it a “F”

If you can find a place to park the coach, then everything else is simple. Find a place to boonie, or keep calling for last minute reservations. Use one of the event sponsored transport buses into the event. You will need tickets for that.

Go way early in the morning because the action happens at sunrise.

And take WARM clothing. The wind coming down off the mountain into the event will freeze you.

Chuck, we have done this a couple times, Staying on the grounds is the only way i will do it. The traffic is horrible all day and night.

    Mike:
I am assuming it’s to late to find something on the grounds at this point in time. Am I correct?

There are a couple ways i did it, one year i got on the waiting list and 3 days before the event i was alerted, hey we have a spot for you. I took it and We hightailed it there and had a great time. The second time we went i went thru a ticket broker 1 day after the event was sold out that had a block of tickets, I think they outlawed that a few years back.
