Will is right about my concerns about high pressure engine washing. Use a solvent like Simple Green, use a soft brush to work it in the grease and use a garden hose to flush it off.

There are lots of electrical thingies (a technical term ) that high pressure washing can mess up. But most importantly is the radiator. It needs occasional cleaning because it is sucking exhaust soot and road debris through it and the fins on the tubes are very fragile.

Once an engine is clean and any leaks are corrected it is almost no effort to keep it halfway decent.
