    Default Slide Component Pre-Inspection items

    Good day All.
I've been looking at a lot of XL and XL 2 Coaches for purchase. My Wife and I are looking to replace our 99 Featherlite H345 (She doesn't like where her Seat is in an H). So, going with an XL.
Our concern is having Slide issues in the future. Our first choice is Liberty, however, would consider other Converters as long as it has Over the Road Air and a Transmission Retarder. Looking at 2000 to 2001 Models.

What are the Slide Components that can be Inspected prior to pulling the Trigger on a purchase. Replacement of the Slide(s) Air Bags is not cheap, but could be used as a negotiating tool for final price.
Basically, are there items in the Slide Mechanism that can be properly inspected to ensure smooth in/outs in the future?

    Thanks.

Rick: Wish I could help but I am a no slide guy. I might be wrong, but I think that in that time frame, there were Prevost slides and 3rd party slides. I would do some research and decide which one I wanted. Then, maybe talking to some of the aftermarket Prevost repair places could help. I have heard good things about places like Luxury Coach in Texas, East Tennessee Luxury Coach, Trade Winds in Florida, etc.
