    Default Radiator Replacement

Does anyone have any experience replacing or fixing the engine radiator? I seem to have a small leak in a corner seam that is spraying coolant. Looking for any advice on cost, who can replace, how hard the radiator is to remove, etc.

There's a gasket between the core and the end caps. You might get lucky and try tightening the bolts holding the end caps on.

A new radiator is in the $5K range. If you have time and the end caps are good, you may want to consider a recore. If it's a road hazard puncture and the radiator is otherwise good, the puncture can be sealed.

    Gil,

Thank you for the information. I was just looking at the parts diagram and see the end caps and gasket. The area it is leaking is the end cap. I will try tightening the bolts and see if it helps. Do you know if the gasket can be replaced without removing the radiator?

I doubt the end caps can be removed without removing the radiator.

Its a piece of the radiator, bottom bracket, that can be had from the manufacturer 260 bucks. This is one of those deals where everything on and around this chassis is rust free and this 1 piece is all corroded to hell.

How hard was the job and was it difficult to find a fab shop that would do a quick turn around?

I am looking at my Engine Radiator, and wondering what these two smaller radiators are in front of the engine radiator?

A pro tip I learned from another Prevost Owner at the Quartzsite Rally this past January is to occasionally Blow out your radiator with compressed air. I put a flashlight on one side and I couldn't see thru. It took me about an hour, but I now all the fins are clean and I can see thru my radiator. Thanks TerryA for the Awesome Pro Tip!
