    Default Girrard help

My roof mount Girrards do not allow the hand crank manual roll up secondary to the window curve of the XL2. The guys at Marathon say they have seen a sort of gimble like fitting that allows better rotation. I havE had to cut off the pole twice because I couldn’t get the pole unlocked against the curve. Anybody familiar with this or where to get it? (Girrard guy told me for roof mounts there is 7mm hole on top and use drill. I went up there yesterday and mine do not have this option. Maybe the vintage as they are probably 2005.)
    Thanks

On an 05 your Girards should be roof, not side mounted. Girard was telling you correctly. From on top of the roof there should be a rubber plug on top of the awning case. Remove it to access the 7mm hex drive. It may require an extended length hex. You can use a drill, but NEVER use an impact nut driver.
