Default Ford Security Module (key pad on door)

In an attempt to get the key pad to be used, (after numerous attempts using the Ford Control Number) I ordered a replacement module from ebay. The replacement module had the exact numbers (except for the Ford Control Number) as the one being replaced.
When I plugged in the replacement module, sounded the alarms, (air horns, flashing lights, ect) as if if an actual break in was occuring.
Anyone have any experience changing the Ford Control Module?

Pete, dumb question maybe. Did it continue to alarm after using the factory code?

Honestly Gil, I don't recall. It was early evening and I didn't let it alarm long enough to put in the new factory code. It was so noisy with the air horns going off that I just unplugged it until I am more certain what the replacement procedure is. I was hoping some one had already gone through the learning curve.
As soon as I can get some basic information as to how to change it out........I'll wait to change it.
