    Default Tire Temperature

    Hello,

I have just installed a tire monitor system. What is the danger zone on tire temperature?

    Thanks

I want to say 175 degrees. Let me suggest you set the alarm trigger for brake problems. I set my high temperature alarm to 130 degrees. Anything just above normal on a hot day on a long downhill grade is good.

I also recommend you set the low pressure alarm to as close as you can to the cold tire pressure. Once your tires get hot the tire temperature can rise by 29 degrees or so. So, at road temperature taking my suggestion your tire still has to lose about 20 psi to raise an alarm unless it's a rapid leak.
