Oil specs change/get upgraded (may be room for argument re lower ZDDP levels and flat tappet/non-roller engines - but that's another discussion) and when they do, those letters change. Supposedly newer versions are backward compatible. And (generally) oils get better over time. I think CK4 is the latest general spec, not including more specific use FA4.

Those have been replaced. Here's everything you want to know directly from the standards body.

Delvac 15-40 is what DD 60 series likes the best.

    Thanks Gil,

so it looks like to me that CK-4 has replaced CI-4 and CJ-4, which has replaced the original specification CF-4 and CG-4. Would you agree ?

If so i think I found a great price for oil, $ 38.67 for 3 gallons free shipping with Amazon Prime

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Is this a good price ?

With $50.00 bucks for 2 filters and enough oil for the change + a few gallons extra to carry with me for emergencies, $ 300.00 bucks for a oil change is not to bad of a deal.

    That's the oil I use.

Most use Rotella T-4, T-5, or T-6; or Mobil Delvac
