    Default Roadmaster VS Blue Ox

    Hello,

I will be towing an Escalade (5800 lbs) and feel I want a lot of extra towing capacity for safety. Blue ox and Roadmaster make units that tow up to 10,000 lb. Roadmaster says there release system works in all situations. This seems like a real plus. Blue ox appears to have the toad mechanism more hidden.

Any thoughts on which is better?

    Thanks

    Chevy or Ford?
    Vanilla or Chocolate Ice Cream?
    Blue Ox or Roadmaster?

Pretty much the same questions. I prefer the Roadmaster baseplates on unibody cars. I think they are more robust.

I can still bind the Roadmaster releases on my All Terrain Sterling. I do like the way this model of Roadmaster towbar manages the safety and electrical hookup cables. I have 40K plus miles on the Roadmaster towbar with no issues.

I'm now using a Blue Ox towbar and it seems equally as robust.
