    Default 365 tire temporary replacement

I have 365 on steer & tag axles. If I where to have a steer tire fail during a trip and a 365 was not available for a extended period of time, could the tag 365 get moved to the steer and a 315 put on the 365 tag rim to get you down the road to a safe location to wait for a 365?

    Chuck,

Prevost installed 365s on the tag solely to support a front tire flat. This was when 365s were very hard to get. Michelin claims they are finally past that...we'll see. No, you can not mount a 315 on the wheel for a 365. Michelin confirmed this. So, you'll need a wheel and tire for the tag, if you can't find a 365.

Thank you for your wisdom Gil

Another question. If a 365 was not available for an extended period of time and I was forced to use a 315 (on the tag) to move along, what size rim & hub would be needed on a temporary 315 wheel & tire combo to fit the tag which was accomidating a 356.

Sorry if my question is a little confussing, I am a little confussed.

    Hey Chuck Joe here.

U need a aluminum, Alcoa, 9in, 22.5, hub piloted rim for a 315-80 on the tag.

Gill and Derlene could be occupied preping for that huricane thats yodling up the canyon.

    Chuck,

As usual, Joe is correct. I really think you can use a steel wheel. The stud will be longer than necessary, but that should be okay.

Joe correct me on the steel wheel thought.

    Joe,

It's temporary. Okay, I guess a steel wheeled coach can forget about staying at the 10 year rule campgrounds and will have to seek out truck stops.
