Does anyone know were I could find a new cartridge for this shower valve. I think they are no longer in business? If unable what is the best unit that fits in there? Is it possible to change valve w/o messing up solid surface shower? Moen, etc??

You should try a plumbing shop. It's amazing what they can get. Changing the valve, unless you can access the back side of the wall where the valve is will be a really destructive job.
