    Default Awning Window Handle/latch

The handle/latch broke on my driver side awning window which is an emergency exit. I ordered the part from Prevost and it is the wrong one. The finger that fits between the two post on the slide that looks the window is about 3/4 of an I ch short. I called Prevost parts and was told it is the correct part number. I sent parts person pics of new red one and the old broken black one and he admitted they were not the same. He then researched it and two hours later said he doesn’t know what the solution is. The new part is definitely not correct. Any ideas what I can do to get the correct part.

    Denny,

Doesn't Prevost have a parts research person or is that who responded? I do know some side window parts are unavailable. I suspect this is because they purchased these as assemblies from suppliers that may no longer be in business.
