    Default Roof gutter question

    Hello All,
Doing roof repair and repainting on our 2001 XLII 40' (shorty)
I have a question about the fillet where the aluminum roof skin meets at the gutter on each side of the bus.
There is very minor damage in one spot. Not sure how to handle the repair?
Should the fillet, which seems to be some type of very hard composite material ever be painted or caulked?
I tried to take a picture of the damaged area, (about 1/2" in length) but it was not very clear.
Any help would be very much appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Jeff

    Jeff,

There are several good caulkings that you can use to make simple repairs in the area that you are referring to. I made a couple before I refinished my roof a couple years ago, and I've never had a problem. http://forum.prevostownersgroup.com/...hlight=coating

    Thanks Dale,
I will try to get good pictures of the trough area, the biggest concern I have is weather or not to start painting something that has never been painted or caulked. the material that it is made from is foreign to me. Very hard composite of some type.
    Jeff
