Default MORE SIGNS OF UPBEAT RV INDUSTRY

One of these should fit nicely behind a Prevost. That is, if you can get one before they are sold out.

By Greg Gerber 10 April, 2013
WAKARUSA, Ind. -- Livin Lite Recreational Vehicles, located in Wakarusa, Ind., today reported an 82 percent increase in sales for the first quarter of 2013 compared to the same time last year.

“We knew we were having a great first quarter, but these numbers really blew away our projections!” said Scott Tuttle, president of Livin Lite. "With the new models that Livin Lite introduced in Louisville, including slideouts in their popular Camplite travel trailers and truck campers, and a rich new cherry wood look interior (still not a splinter of wood in them), consumer interest in Livin Lite’s unique, all-aluminum and composite campers is at an all-time high."

That same consumer interest has sparked quite a web response as Livin Lite now welcomes nearly 3,500 unique visitors a day to their website, he added.
“Out of those 3,500 unique visitors each day, more than 700 are going to our dealer locator and typing in their information so they can find dealers who are carrying our brands,” said Tuttle.

Tuttle reported that top selling Livin Lite brands include the Camplite, the Axxess chrome-look toy hauler and the Official JEEP camper which was made available through Livin Lite dealers starting in January.

“Across the spectrum of the automotive camper market, we are seeing an increase in retail sales activity,” said Tuttle, “More and more consumers are driving smaller, fuel efficient vehicles and our ultra lightweight, long-lasting designs are attracting more interest each day. Livin Lite now holds more than 100 Google No. 1 spots for key word searches, including the generic term 'lightweight camper.'"

Livin Lite products include the Quicksilver automotive tent campers; JEEP campers; Camplite travel trailers, Camplite truck campers; Quicksilver VRV toy haulers and Axxess toy haulers. For more information, visit www.livinlite.com.

IMO the entire industry is trending smaller less weight and less cost and they are selling just that.

The bigger plastic stuff is all 20000lb paperweights you have to about give them away still.

I sell mirrors to the RV industry and I get the Emails daily and the trade journals, the real progress seems to be as Joe stated the cheaper towables that can be purchased for 199 a month.

Hopefully, there is some residual benefit from even the smaller units. At least they will help sustain the need for campgrounds and maybe bolster the RV industry as a whole.

People are going to be able to go camping more frequently and for longer.

2 biggest factors price of fuel and reduced income are causing many to think differently. Storage or the lack of that need with a smaller unit in the drive a close second but also a cost driven decision just the same

Many are learning its just as much fun and a great deal lesss preporation and getting there with 4000lbs less on the hitch is a whole heck of a lot easier and less work too.

Im taking a ham with a 7 by 10 floor dimension down to the Keys this winter and looking forward with it.. I should make a rally in one Id like a picture in a site between a XLIIDS and an H3-45. Ill bring some house paint and the kids can paint it for me with some housepaint and brushes.

This has been around for a while but I continue to go back to it again and again.

Even tho its thru a catseye lense whats in there is still pretty incredable. The art deco dinette is real nice the extrouded aluminum edge round the upper shelf really well done.

Does it have an air dump and level-low?
