Cool! My father was Production Manager at the Montgomery, AL Dr. Pepper bottling plant for 25 years (1940-1965)! I grew up being told that Coca-Cola would rot your stomach! To this day, my favorite (and almost exclusive) soft drink is Diet Dr. Pepper! I have pictures of my father posing in his Dr Pepper uniform with his production recognition awards.

Neat story Michael. Dr. Pepper is also my favorite drink. Your father may have been right about Coke! Many years ago, while being checked for an ulcer, my doctor told me that Coke was worse on the stomach than any other soft drink or any alcoholic drink.
