Well its way cold for Houston standards, 31 with a little sleet, but that shouldn't last for long.

This was the scene last summer in Yellowstone.

Here is a shot of my first roadtrip with A1 and then following A$$crak4U and AP Chris Yates to POG2. The Mothership was somewhere in the same zip code, but was having trouble keeping up.

    Jim,

What did you mean 'yesterday it was 53'??? Inches of snow? That's why I steer clear of the Burton - Chardon are between October and March..... When are you planning on leaving for POG III? maybe we could hook up on the way out (or back)

Orren, That 53* meant 53 degrees. Not inches. My keyboard does not have a degree symbol. You know though as well as I that we get too much snow here. " Lake effect".

I don't know yet when I will go to POG3. JIM

We are still stuck here in NE with 8 inchs of new snow this morning. Looking out our Kitchen window again as the sun was coming up around 8am.

Taken with a 70-300mm tele-photo lens on a S3 FujiFilm Digital SLR, lens set at 300 mm

    Rated at 9.5 for knowledge.

What no Kodachrome 64?!? On a more serious note, did you use shutter or aperature prefered exposure?

Auto exposure with a ISO rating at 800.

I only use aperture priority when I need depth of field and shutter priority when I need to control the
speed of exposure for sharpness in low light or blur in high light.

ah but Orren, the Burton Maple Syrup Festival is so worth the cold temps and the snow. Easy for me to say, I am no longer in NE Ohio
