Talking Cloudy and 68 degrees in Georgia

Dale, I spent 52 years in the snow and sub zero temps in foothills of the Adirondack mountains. Your pictures remind me of opening the slopes at Whiteface Mt. back in my ski patrol days. As breath taking as your pictures are and as vivid as my memories remain.........give me warmth and sunshine. Too many mornings began by snowblowing up to several feet of snow and assisting others out of the snow banks....now I go out on the porch with a cup of coffee wearing jeans and a tee shirt. Keep posting those temps and pictures lest I forget the reason I moved to the south. Ken

It's a rare morning just north of Portland (OR). Not so cold at 25 but as close to a blizzard we ever get at only 250' above sea level. Also through our kitchen window where the view is usually of the neighborhood runway. Look out Dale & Jan, it's headed your way. Brrrrr!

This could be a great long running thread, assuming everybody joins in.

Here is my first one, a picture of our bus at the turnout overlooking Crater lake in Oregon last SEPTEMBER on the way to POG II. The lake is right behind the coach. The water was crystal blue like the sky, so we were told!

    Default Eastern Oregon sunrise

Since we were snowed in at home today I found time to upload a few examples of our travels. Here are some taken at an airfield used for forest fire fighting in summers and nothing else the rest of the year. We spent the night here, it was a perfect place.

OK, so this isn't one of the "great" pictures of a wonderful spot. But, it was one of the fun things of POG2. Six of us were caravaning on our first day heading towards Kingman Arizona.

There were six of us running together. I believe I was #5 at this point, so if you look carefully, there's four in front there!

    Now THAT was fun ...

OOOPS! I just realized, this was day two! We left Kingman about 75 miles back, on our way to Gallup NM that day!!

I just figured out why Liberty got us out of their parking lot so fast.
