I can only offer old news, was there about 35yrs ago in a car and it was a wonderful experience.
One thing I remember to this day everything is crowded and confined. Trying to think back I would say it is not bus friendly. I would try to find a base of operation RV park and go around to all the tourist spots in the car.
I recall we went for Lobster at a dockside restaurant, asked for Surf and Turf and got a blank stare with the reply, we don't have that.
Oh, I said then bring two lobster dinners and two steak dinners. The look on the waiters face, I can still see it.
All was good!
