Cool New members in New Jersey

My wife, Joanne, and I have recently joined POG, we are not yet Prevost owners but are working on fixing that problem. We have narrowed our search to 95-2000 coaches as I prefer the Series 60.Our big question is how much of a "premium" we should give to finding a coach with IFS? We have looked at a very nice 96 Liberty but no IFS, should that deter us from buying? Thanks for your thoughts. Phil Robeson

Some may say the ride is better with IFS and it may be. That would not be why I'd opt for IFS. My concern would be front axle weight. I don't have the numbers, but know that one of the pluses to IFS is it's increased axle weight capability. FWIW, we just went through the same thing you are. We found some really nice late model 92 series coaches, but ultimately decided against a 92 series. We have a 99 Country Coach that we really like.

I don't have much experience with older coaches, but I can tell you that our 2000 Liberty Coach with IFS is a pleasure to drive. No matter how "wowed" you may be by some of the amenities found on Prevost buses, it pales in comparison to the ride.

I know that I was as skeptical as they get before I drove ours.... sure made a believer out of me!

    Good luck in your search....

Thanks for your info. We are looking at several coaches but seem to be focusing on a 99 Vogue. Phil & Joanne

Dan, We appreciate your offer to discuss your vogue very much. At this time we have "changed lanes" and have made an offer on a 2000 Liberty. Now we need to go inspect it. Phil Robeson

Well, if you should have any interest in a 2000 Liberty, we know where to deliver it to!!

We have spent many summers in Tuckahoe, at Scenic Riverview Campground. My sister lives in Millville and we still have family in Cumberland County. Always enjoyed the short bike ride to the deli/general store in Tuckahoe for breakfast....

Hi Phil - I left you a PM the other day, but you might not have received it - Give me a call at 727-748-2248 -

BTW - In my humble, unbiased opinion, Paul Horner's 2000 Liberty is absolutely as good as they get.
