water pump

i have a 1997 liberty ihad water pump problems and in fl.had the solonoid replaced the pump is paragon .the question is which way should pump run looking at pump it now runs to the left is it possible the solonoid is hooked up wrong thank wmoureau

Wayne, my Paragon pump runs clockwise, looking from the shaft end, that is the coupling between the pump and the motor.
Additionally, if the pump is on the left and the motor is on the right, a mark on the top of the coupling will come forward towards the viewer when the prime button is depressed.
