Default What to do in KY

Kentucky has come interesting things to do.
Along I-65 you have the Corvette Museum and Corvette assembly plant (tours available), in Bowling Green. Stay at Cave Country RV park in Cave City for a good base fore the area.
Be sure to visit Mammoth cave.

Heading north on I-65 to the Blue Grass Parkway, pick up the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. (best done in your toad)

    Jim,
You also have Bardstown, KY, which I believe is the oldest town in KY and also the historical Shaker Village. They are near the area you are in.

Also in southwest Kentucky you have the land between the lakes, neat area and not to miss Patties 1889 settlement, the best 2" thick pork chop you have ever put in your mouth!

If you are into crafts, check out Berea, KY just off I-75. The place is home to Berea College, nice eating place there, and several craftsmen, from chairmakers to trinkets, who have local shops to peddle their goods. Also a few antiques shops to browse. Nice place to visit!

Now we're rolling. My intent was for others to add to the states and tell of their adventures.

Our stops and activities are not comprehensive and all inclusive, do add to them!

PLEASE TRY TO KEEP THE STATE INFORMATION PURE ADDING OTHER THREADS FOR OTHER STATES.

I have only started with a sampling and will add others as time allows.

Default Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill

The subject village is well worth the trip and time. The village is located in Harrodsburg, KY and is approximately 25 miles outside of Lexington. In the recent past, it was a working Shaker village and at that time a variety of fresh produce, spices, and the likes were available for purchase. If you are into history and times of the past, you will thoroughly enjoy a visit to this place!

Near Lexington Ky - Ky Horse Park - location of the Rolex 2010 World Games, Keenelend, perhaps the most beautiful track in the country.

Stay @ Ky Horse Park and take toad on to the back roads toward Keeneland - Old Frankfort Pike! One of the most beautiful drives in the country surrounded by million dollar horse barns, multimillion dollar horsing farms, 150 yr. old creekstone boarder walls - simply jaw dropping.
