    Default Good NO alternative

    Hey POGgers,
    Janet and I were looking forward to staying at French Quarter RV in New Orleans. Their rates are a tad high, but location, location, location. Well on Saints football weekend, their rates get way high, like $109 per night with a two night minimum. Screw them. We found a "hidden gem" in the Pontchartrain Landing. A short 10-15 minute drive from the French Quarter. Gate guarded, the staff could not be better, good swimming pool and hot tub, clean grounds. Gravel roads and parking area. We stayed 3 nights on waterfront, for about $170. And the place is quiet at night!! Shuttle bus to the French Quarter 3 times a day, $5 round trip.

    Give them a try next time through,

    Ken, You ain't catchin no fish but I know you are enjoying that cigar! Looks like a great place will try it next time in the big NO. We stayed at French QuaRTER LAST TIME.
