    I must say that I too agree with the advice from members that avoidance is the soundest of counsel as my luck isn’t the greatest as demonstrated by our last Casino visit . I have lived with hurricanes all of my life, so I especially was amused and related to Jerry Winchester’s statement. I’m always disturbed with news reports of the endless stream of people lining up for the moronic place of honor…trying to safely stay out of Mother’s Nature’s way as we soon leave Houston and head to Creede Colorado to beat the heat.

    How long will you be in Creede and where do you park? We will be in Creede in July for a few days. Pat grew up in Creede and finished high school there.

    Greetings;
    Michelle and I will be at Creede http://www.mountainviewsrv.com/rv-resort.html on the resort side in space 268 from 15 June until 15 July as it’s the only availability they had open. This is our first time to go north to beat the heat and our first experience in Colorado. We had hoped for 2 1/2 months there but they are full and then some. So after the 15th of July we plan to tour some in the area but places unknown to us right now. We will return to Texas in mid September for the fall Rallies. I hope we can meet up...ed 254.434.3833.

    Ed:

    WE stayed there last year. Nice park however NO trees.

    I might suggest Road Runner Rv Resort in Red River, New Mexico. Great trees, river runs thru the park and the park is gated. Look them up on the WWW. WE will spend the summer there this year. The park is clean and well kept. Debra and I have stayed there every year since 1995. It is only a few hours drive South of Creede.
    Maybe we will see you there this summer.

    This year will be our 4th summer in Creede....we love it there.
    If you call for reservations, I would strongly suggest you ask for a north facing IMPROVED site...that way your coach will shade your patio area in the afternoon and will also serve as a wind block if needed.
    Ed, yours is a great north facing site that is owned by a good friend of ours....I think you'll love it there.

    Creede is where we met Wayne and Jill for the first time. They have the perfect setup there. I think Wayne maybe the park mayor. Seriously he is telling you right regarding site selection. We found the fishing in the area to be excellent as a added bonus. You will enjoy your stay there no doubt.

    Ed:

    We found out today Road Runner may be offering a season package next year. Might be worth a call.
