Elliott, up in Cave Creek area is a Very Nice Maricopa County Park.

Which side of PHX do you want to be on.

Pueblo El Mirage is a good place in north west PHX, actually in the city of El Mirage close to Sun City. It is actually a winter resort-type place They have pull throughs and are located on a golf course. Should be good rates this time of year. 1-866-787-2754

Here's one that looks good in north Phoenix: http://www.desertsedgerv.com/Index.html - Deserts Edge RV Village.

Desert Shadows RV Resort says it's "minutes" from the Mayo Clinic (I know you said St Joseph's, but just sayin'): http://phoenixrvresorts.com/

They might try the Desert's Edge RV park http://www.desertsedgerv.com/ straight north on 17, just north of the 101.

One of the few actual RV parks (as opposed to park models with open spaces) in the Phoenix area.

We drove through and checked it out a few weeks ago -seems fairly nice. Does have a very steep angle at road/curb that has numerous drag marks, so I would enter very carefully. (We were there in our Land Cruiser)

Thanks all....I have forwarded the information to our friend. He is leaving for his appointment the end of this month. This will help him a lot.
