    Question DALLAS to ATHENS, TX

What would the best route to M&G Brake in Athens,TX be from central Dallas.

Looking at I-20 to SR-19 and in, or SR-175 to SR-19 and in?

    Thanks, JIM

Google maps recommends the following routing:

5.Take the ramp on the left onto I-30 W1.2 mi

    6.Take exit 47B to merge onto I-45 S toward Houston1.0 mi

7.Take exit 283B to merge onto US-175 E/S.M. Wright Fwy toward Kaufman Continue to follow US-175 E

    68.4 mi

    8.Turn left to merge onto TX-31 E/TX-7 Loop E/US-175 E toward Jacksonville1.5 mi

9.Slight right onto the TX-19 N ramp to Canton0.1 mi

10.Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Downtown and merge onto TX-19 BUS

Depending on your starting point in Dallas, it should be about 75 miles, give or take.

Thanks for all that work Michael, I have the route. What I was looking for was road condition, something from a local or recent traveler or some comment like, stick to I-20 US-175 is not fit for bus travel or..........................

Jim, you may still be having problems, I noticed my sent message on this thread (#3) of yesterday has dissappeared. Hmmm just thought I would let you know.

    Jim,
I took my bus down to M&G this Spring, used 175. It's a good road, no problems. As a side note I find the M&G System easy to hook up and as far as I can tell it works well. I pull a Jeep Wrangler so if it wasn't for the rear camera probably wouldn't know it was back there. Also I don't know what toad you are going to get done but you might ask them if they have a rebuild available for it. They had one for mine and it saved me a couple hundred bucks. I believe a rebuild is as good as new.
