Andre, that is all good news except the "bad out of the box" thing.

Andre, What was the cause of the original water leak. Was it obvious when the units were removed ?

    Jim,

I did not tear apart the old units. But, I did do a very good leak check before I made the decision to replace them. I took the top cover off, cleaned the drip pan real well, used a funnel ad poured water into the drip pan. Most of the water flowed out of the drain tubes, BUT some of the water seeped thru the plastic drip pan and collected in the metal base of the unit. When too much water collected there, it would then flow into the coach. If the coach was not dead level, it seem to make things even worse. So I am sure that at least that 1 unit had a cracked internal drain pan. In addition all 3 units were making a lot more noise then I liked, and were starting to show signs of not wanting to start all the time. Once in a while I would hear a compressor struggling to get going. So I decided it was time to just do it and replace them all. Now hopefully I will get another 12 years or more out of these new ones.

Andre, I forgot to ask you, what are the model numbers on your new units?
