    As a result the tech literally had to sit in the drivers seat and pound with his feet on the windshield to remove it.
    That is definitely a concern. The XL models shouldn't have any adhesive at all, they are sealed with the seal and a rubber piece that forces the outside seal closed.

    Devin, the windshields on an XL are really cheap, under $100. I have heard as low as $79.

    Mango: That would be Sika-Flex. probably 201 or 212.

    That stuff is bad news when it comes to black glue in a cartridge. We experienced the attributes of it when changing the slide seal on my bus. It is tough stuff.

    On the Silicone Windshields you have to use a blade which has an offset right angle to it so you can cut behind the edge of the windshield or side glass. Just cutting around the edge of the glass won't release it because the glass is resting on silicone as well. Mike was refering to his H3 which is probably like the XLII.
