Hearthside Grove has put together a POG event for early August , 2010.

The dates are August 2 - 6 , 2010

Debbie & I visited there last August and ended up staying 2 months. The place is FABULOUS!!!!!!

For those who have not been to Northern Michigan in the summer it is worth the trip!

We were there last summer in late June. Hearthside is a top notch rv resort.

While there, take the Tunnel of Trees scenic drive and stop at Legs Tavern for pierogies.

We have booked 3 days for early July, part of the summer family trip with stops at Ceader Point in Ohio for some roller coaster fun!

We were there last summer, the only issue was all the graffiti around the place - "Locman Was Here".

My daughter is going to work at Boyne Mtn this summer, so I might be able to work in a trip.

Looks like a great place, but we will be in Durango, Co for the Fat Beagle 4x4 the same week in August. Would love to go to northern Michigan, but I think that will have to wait until 2011.
What are the rental rates there? I looked at the web site and could not find anything about rentals.

For those who haven't made it to this part of N Michigan it is just spectacular in the summer. Jennifer and I lived just south of there in Traverse City from early 82 to fall 84 (3 summers!). It is still one of our favorite places in the country during the summer. Unfortunately we won't be able to make the August get together as we are making the Maine trip in July. Maybe next year.
