Marathon sales in 2009

Just got my annual calender and nice letter from Marathon that stated they sold over 80 new and used coaches in 2009. Sounds like a pretty fair year! Wonder how Liberty, etc did?

I have been following their new coach serial numbers on their web site,a year ago they were at coach # 1175 and now they are at coach #1184.I know this does not represent coach sales but it does represent their manufacturing production,I know all coach converters are at about 50% or less of their normal work force.In today's economy how many you make and sell is very important to covering the overhead.A year ago Liberty was at #700 and they have sold #715,they have said that they built 12 during 2009.I also look at Newell's sales and they do not have a new one in inventory,they like Liberty are calling back employees in anticipation of a stronger 2010.
