    Default Spend the summer in...Scranton?

After 13 hours of driving from NC, we were trundling up I-81, a bit weary, and decided to spend the night at the Petrol truck station in Scranton, not expecting much. (Exit 170B). Instead, we found that they provided us with 50 AMP service, water and sewer. Had a 24/7 restaurant and shops, clean, quiet lots of bling for trucks (and buses?), had an RVIA tech on staff and heavy truck repair with parts in inventory. The manager said that we were welcome there even if we didn't buy anything and personally escorted us to our site.

    Not too bad!

Of course, The Boss was concerned when the manager parked us with our front wheels over the double yellow line, but got over it.

Now if they would put on some other music than Country and Western over the PA system, it would have even been more perfect.

    Highly recommended.

I guess I will look up that 170B exit on 81. Now just how did you land that spot. Were you mumbling to yourself that you were a big deal in the POG group. Just how did that spot happen to come available?

Shookie, Clarks Summit........I was from Binghamton! As a child Clark Summit meant that Na Augg ( check spelling ) Park was coming up soon. At night you could see the burning coal piles as you approached Scranton. My wife Ellen & I now live in Springfield, Ga ( off I-95 ) near Savannah, Ga. As with all POG members you are welcome to park at our place on the way to Fla. I see you joined in Jan. Welcome. Ken & Ellen

    Default Passport America

I stayed at an RV Park owned by a truck stop in AZ that had full hook ups like the one you described and the price was only $15 and when I joined this dicount club called Passport America for $40 or so then the price dropped to half of that at only $7.50 a day. That is the cheapest I've ever heard of. Next best thing to solar I guess. They have a good size network all over that honors the 50% off and they send you a book or you can search for affiliates on their web site. They aren't limited to truck stops, that just happend to be an affiliate.

    Shookie,

Welcome aboard. You should plan on spending some time parked at Liberty to give the new coach a good check out. They had it scattered in a lot of pieces during the rally and even though they are good, it really takes use to determine if the repairs were done correctly.

That is a great coach and it has a lot of systems. The best time to get familiar with them and be assured they work right is when you are sitting right in the midst of the guys that fixed it.
