    Default NY Fuel

    Hey Jon,

Did you get any reservation fuel while in Jamestown? I bought today at Seneca Hawk for 2.39, government fuel was 2.64.

I went through there Thursday afternoon on the way home and the price was the same - too bad they can't smooth out that piece of road ....

Some of us have what is called long range fuel.

Others have buses without it and have to buy fuel where it is expensive.

Seriously I will likely never buy a drop of NY fuel unless it is on the reservation. Typically we only fuel at our home base. For us OKC is about the limit for a round trip without fueling. I'm probably going to fill up before I park at OSH so I can run my generator 24/7 if I want so I can be comfortable. Open windows and hot air (especially from the POG guys) just doesn't work for me.

Fuel here last Monday when we got back was $2.25.

I have what are called long range tanks, remember? I will not be back in the land of cheaper fuel for over a week and many miles. Fuel in GA was the same as the reservation, 2.39. I'll make sure you park next to Mango at Osh, then you can enjoy the diesel stink fest together. His gen sets of pollution alerts and smokes like chimney...

Orren - I don't think they will ever fix that piece of concrete!

The cheapest goverment diesel in Woodstock, GA this morning is $2.339.

The cheapest in the Atlanta metro area is $2.229 in Stockbridge, GA

The cheapest in the state (GA) is in Newnan, GA - $2.199

I wonder what the break even point would be before it's cheaper for Vita to take the bus to work (at 7 mpg) versus the Mercedes (24 mpg) that requires premium fuel at $2.749? My rudimentary calculations tell me that diesel would have to drop to $1.479 and premium gasoline would have to jump to $5.069 before the mpg fuel costs would start to tip in favor of the bus. As much as I'd love to see the price of diesel drop more, let's all pray that Obama doesn't think of a way to make gasoline prices jump to $5.00!

298 gallons. At 7.75 MPG the 1748 miles will take around 225 gallons.

I will not be able to get up my driveway with out refueling because it is so steep I need around 100 gallons in it to keep the motor running.

What year did the long range capacity for the XL go from 250g to 297g?

How about the H what is its long range option and was it always the same?

Tom's coach I believe has a 160 gallon main tank and a 90 gallon aux tank for a total of 250.

I think the Series 60 started a 208 gallon main tank with a 90 gallon aux tank optional.

That's a recollection and may not be accurate.

Are u suggesting the capacity increases came with the 60 series coaches?

Long range tanks 8-V 1400 miles MAYBE, 1000 comfortably
Long range tanks 60 series 2300+, 2000 comfortably

What is the fuel capacity for the H
