Is this an awning part?

Any idea what this is? I think I've seen it on another coach but forgot to ask. One end certainly works to pull down on awning straps. The other end is puzzling.

Jim, you put the four pronged end down on the ground and use it like a four footed cane when the wind is blowing hard.

Jim, This is definitely a tool for use on the awning. I've got one, but I forgot exactly how it is supposed to work. It is designed to assist in opening the awing and doing all the adjustments without having to use a ladder. Jim Keller Knows how it works.

It is used on the large Zip Dee awning. The slot goes over the large round pin on the support arms. The 4 prongs go against the awing arm to hold the round pin down so you can manually extend or retract the arm without having to climb on a ladder.

It is an awning tool that is used to release the catch on the awning stabilizer arm (the one that goes to the roof). This is very high tech and you will have to sign a confidentiality agreement unless one of the spies on this forum spill the beans first.

That's a tool used in snake hunting. Be sure to have it with you in OKC.

Well, the four footed cane and the snake hunting tool all sound like good uses. Maybe this is for a manual awning? Mine is a (perfectly working for now) electric. If we get to Shady Acres, I'll give it away if someone needs it. Jon, do you need a backup?

I don't know how it would be used. When the electric awning stops working, it's a take it apart kind of thing.
