Hotel suggestion in Harlingen, TX, South Padre?

We have 4 shows over 3-4 days in southern TX. We are playing in Harlingen and then in McAllen. I have to run around a good bit, but my wife and kids could really use some beach time. I was thinking of dropping them off at a hotel for a couple of days since I need the bus for equipment load ins, dressing room, etc. Anybody have a good hotel suggestion in that area. On the beach would be great. Something with a little kitchen would be even better. We don't tow a car, but we could rent one for the family to get around in while I work.

Any suggestions?

There are all kinds of nice hotels on South Padre, If you just google hotels you'll find them. We have stayed at a RV park on S.P. and on Port Isabel, which is on the mainland. They are a drive from where you are talking about but not much else if you want the beach.
