Default Replacing bulb in Drivers Headlight

I have the replacement bulb, see below. But the light seems sealed. How do I install the bulb in the headlight?

    Lightbulb

Remove the lens/bulb holder, by removing the nuts in the corners.

Remove the socket from the lens.

Remove the bulb from the socket and assemble in reverse order.

IF YOU ARE USING A HALOGEN BULB DO NOT TOUCH IT WITH YOUR BARE HANDS. THE OIL ON YOUR SKIN WILL MAKE IT BURN OUT PREMATURELY.

IF YOU HAVE ALREADY TOUCHED IT WIPE IT OFF WITH ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL, AND HOLD IT WITH A CLEAN CLOTH.

If I'm wrong try something else, just going from your pictures, but don't touch the bulb with bare hands, whatever you do!

I can only see the two plastic nuts shown in the first photo in the corners. Are these the two you are talking about?

I have avoided touching the bulb shown in the last photo that BrainE was gracious enough to give me. If these are the two nuts you are talking about I assume lens folds down to access the bulb holder.

Can't tell you for sure Lloyd. take the two off and maybe the next step will be obvious, like tilt it forward and slide up?????

Here's a link to several that have done it. PM them for specifics.

Look at this one and the post by Jerry, #11.

If you take the nuts off maybe you have the hinge?

Hi Lloyd. I would think its the two hex head screws on the right, and hopefully it is hindged on the left side. Mine hindges open with the removal of one allen screw on the front of the light frame.

    Lloyd,

Remove the 3 hex bolts (19) with the large washers (18) that mount the light assembly to the structure with a 7/16 socket and extension. Remove the assembly and you can access the back of the light, unplug the wires and change the bulb. Don't turn the adjusters (5) or you will disturb the aim.

Before you reassemble the unit, test the headlight. If it doesn't work the local NAPA store will have a new #9004 replacement. You might consider replacing both bulbs with Sylvania Silverstars, they are much brighter than the original bulbs. (The one you have might even be a Silverstar). Good luck.

What was not mentioned was the fact that the Moleman actually alerted Lloyd that he had a bulb out and immediately handed him a new bulb!
