    Default San Diego area campground?

Anybody have a recommendation for a place to hang out for a few days in SoCal? When we played down near San Diego we really enjoyed the beach down there. Would love to find a nice campground on or near the beach. We don't have a toad, but could rent a car. We are not married to the idea of San Diego. In fact, we are going to be in Oregon next week before we need to head out east for our east coast tour. But we have 3 weeks and are looking for some R&R. And, for those of you who have kids, you know that makes my kids happy:-) It would be nice to be in a warm-ish place.

    Thanks,

    Adam

Chula Vista RV park is very nice. It's' about 10 minutes from downtown San Diego, and you can even park and take the trolley there.

When are you looking to be down in that area?

    Default What Ray Said!

    Adam,

This past June, while I worked the 2008 Men's US Open Golf Championship at Torrey Pines, Carole got to stay at the Chula Vista RV Resort. She enjoyed it very much. I did too for the little time I had available to enjoy it.

There is a marina right next door which was interesting to look at the boats. There is also a park area between the resort and the bay. Oh. the only caution is not to swim or wade in the water. Something about its proximity to Mexico. In spite of that there was a convention of Hobie Cats there and they were in the water.

Looking forward to meeting you in OKC, OK next October.

    Adam,

On other fronts, I can sign 3 of you into Disneyland. However days around Christmas time are blacked out, so we'd need to coordinate in advance which day you'd like to go, and I'd check out blackout calendar.

There's a nice park near Disneyland that I've sent several POG members, Anaheim RV Village, on Ball Rd on Anaheim.
