Allison Codes

Is there an easy way to clear codes out of the Allison electronics?

I recently had the transmission worked on to take care of some codes and shifting issues and would like to clear codes without going back to service center. I believe they failed to clear when I picked up the coach.

Tony, my Allison manual has a section on clearing diagnostic codes.

It states, "while in [Diagnostic Mode*], push and hold the MODE button for approximately 10 seconds to clear all the codes. Shift selectors with 2 digit display will sound a tone at about 8 seconds and a second tone at about 10 seconds indicating that all the codes are cleared. Shift selectors with a single digit display will flash the LED indicator 3 times after about 3 seconds and 3 times again after about 10 seconds indicating that all codes are cleared".

*Diagnostic Mode: simultaneously press the UP and DOWN arrows once if the transmission does not have an oil level sensor and TWICE if equipped with an oil sensor.

There is a note to "drive the vehicle and check for code reoccurrence".
