I have a friend who went to the rally in Ontario and the Prevost people said that the XLII will continue in production for years to come.Detroit Diesel was there and they say that they want to continue to supply to Prevost but the home office wants to put their bus manufacturing in the most competitive position, but they said do not rule out the series 60 in 2010 in Prevost. He also said that coaches including entertainer are 50% of prevost current business. The manufacturing capacity is 5 coaches a day but they are producing only 2 a day currently. The most interesting part of a seminar for my friend was that the new DPF engines are getting about 7.5 MPG,a owner towed a stacker trailer with a H3 to Ontario and got 6.8 mpg!!!The DPF allowed Detroit Diesel to program the DDEC very differently and the DPF will do its job and reduce the emissions like a catalatic converter on a gasoline engine.
