    Default The 710 Cap

Anyone know where I can find a 710 Cap? There was one on my bus engine but......it seems to be lost. I took this picture of another 710 Cap off of one of my cars.

The comedy on this POG site is well worth the price of admission.

    John,

I'm really not very sure on this...but you could of just had the cap upside down, It could be a oil cap not a 710 cap. Maybe Jon can step in here.

I do not have a 710 or an 01L cap on my series 60. I have a spring loaded flapper that snaps shut over the oil fill tube. I do not have any cap on my valve cover.

Where do you have a cap on your engine John?

You are aware that pilots are special because on my planes the caps all have little chains on them so we don't lose them. Maybe bus drivers need chains on their 710 caps so they do not lose them.

I am quite sure its a 710 Cap because I found a couple of quarts of M0I 710 Fluid at the auto parts store. Geez...can't find good help anymore, the bottles had upside down writing on them to boot

Thanks for all the help, I have a new 710 Cap and two quarts of 710 M0I Fluid..... now if I can just figure out how to open the bottle, the cap is on the bottom!

    Gettin blonder by the day.......

If it wasn't for your co-pilot you would have never gotten those big planes off the ground.

I know that anybody can get one back on the ground. In fact in the entire history of aviation nobody, including a guy looking for a 710 cap has ever failed to return one to the ground. Subject to certain details like what condition if was in when it returned to the ground.

    Going to Spearfish?

    Jon et al,

I just thought it was time we got back to POG.....I am as sorry as anyone as to the recent loss in our group however, we must go on!!

I will be in Spearfish with bells on, maybe, to coin a phrase, we can hold a SEMINAR on the proverbial 710 Cap!
