    Default Stuck TV

My 42" Plasma is stuck in the up position. It is in above the driver/shotgun position in the salon. The electric activates and the pins pull back but the TV will not come down. It looks like a "worm" gear setup but I can find bo manual over ride. Anysuggestions besides cutting a hole in the roof and watching through there?

Check your fuses first, test the switch if possible, if that is ok, call the convertor.

If you have a Marathon, there is no manual override. The worm drive has a clucthing mechanism when the TV swings down, but none when it swings into the ceiling. This is a flaw that destroys the worm gear, consequently with our 2002 XLII we needed the motor replaced. (Twice) We no longer have this problem, we no longer have the coach! Sorry

    Butch,

If you put your year and conversion in your signature line, you may get more help from members with the same vintage.

I can tell you that the unit in the Marathon works very similarly and if you hold the button down or overload it, it pops a 20 amp automotive type fuse that is part of the extension circuit and located very near the motor assembly. It's not easy to see or get to on the Marathon, but a quick change out will have your TV down faster than pork tacos at Jello Jeep's house.

Pork tacos? That should be illegal!
We figured out that we have to contort and hold one of the pins in manually. There's something not allowing that pin to fully retract. I need to look and see if there's any adjustment on the little arm that pulls the pin back. That's not to say that I can accomplish it IF I figure it out!
By the way, thanks for the input.
