    Default ABS Brake Problem

There are two sets of wires coming out the back side of the drive axle on the left and right side of the pumpkin. The set on the right side has been pulled out of the connector. Is there a way to repair or upgrade this system. I'm told this is a common problem and expensive to fix?

Jim, can you post a picture? Some coaches have differential temperature gauges. Are you sure the wires are ABS related?

Jim, That looks like the differential temperature sensor. An ABS sensor would be at the back of the hub.

    Jim,

I'm having second thoughts about my answer regarding differential temperature sensor.

The way to check is to see if the wires go to an air valve. That wire, if it is now what I think tees off another fitting and the wires from that fitting go into a 24V air valve.

Based on the Prevost drawings which are not clear for either the differential carrier or the ABS system it appears that wire assembly is either Prevost 641095 or 641288. The drawing is not clear so I cannot say with certainty. If it is like the ABS drawing shows that wire assembly goes from the differential carrier to a connector held in place with a clamp which might be concealing it as a connector.

I hope this is the correct information. I do not see how there are big bucks involved or even much labor.

    Jon
