    Default Memphis RV Park

Anyone stayed at Graceland RV Park in Memphis, Tenn ? Looks like a possible over night stop on the way to Branson.

    Jim,

We have stayed at Graceland. It is located across the street from Graceland. The campground is nice but tight and fenced. The neighborhood is terrible. I recommend Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River RV Park in West Memphis, Arkansas. It is just across the river from Memphis off of I-40 and I-55. The campground is on the bank of the Mississippi River. The sites are concrete pull throughs with full hookups. The roads are gravel, but are in very good condition. The neatest thing is that you get to watch the towboats and barges running up and down the river. The front row of sites is only 20 yards from the river.

    Jim,

I think JPJeff plans on staying there one night. He's a huge Elvis fan if that helps you make your decision.

    Jim,

We stayed there in 2005 and as Loc says it's right at the back door of Graceland, so if your on a time schedule and want to do the tour it's the place to stay. It's about a 20 minute car ride into town for Beale Street.

    Default Loc Does the Mississippi

We stayed in the Graceland RV Park as well and it was okay. A great place to see everything Elvis.

We could see the RV park Loc stayed in from Mud Island and in fact could see him sitting out watching the tug boats. I took this photo with the new digitally stabilized lense on the Canon D30, but it still turned out fuzzy.

...And to think I voluntarily paid $100 to be on this board??? I think the D30 had a Chapaquitic refractory malfunction on that shot.

    Loc,

Good call on the campground, the Trukster is there now and could fit 3 Plastic Truksters on the site. Closer to Branson now and plenty of time to get the Claymores all in place for the Taco Twins.

    Truk,

Thanks Tom. It is nice to see someone on the board provide a constructive comment. I am not sure that Dub can even spell constructive. I wish I could be there for air support. Add an extra shot for the big Twin from the Wonderbeagle.
